About the workshop:

Trekking Poles • Trumpets • Flame Curing

A bold, skill-forward day working with bamboo. Participants will harvest, shape, and cure bamboo using traditional techniques—including fire.

You’ll learn:

  • Bamboo selection and cutting

  • Flame curing and strengthening

  • Crafting functional tools and instruments

Fire will be used—extra attention and care required for children.

Optional take-home items:

  • $10 - Harvest and fire cure a pūʻohe, abamboo trumpet

  • $30 - Harvest and fire cure a custom bamboo trekking pole — made just for you!
