Wonder Gardening: Explore Together
Join us for a weekly garden adventure designed for families with little ones, ages 0-4!* Our Wonder Gardening class meets every Friday evening from 4–5:30 p.m., offering a fun, nurturing space where you and your child(ren) can explore the wonders of nature together.
Each week, we’ll dive into a new nature-themed activity, perfectly crafted to spark curiosity and creativity in your little one, from planting seeds and learning about soil to meeting our friendly farm animals—bunnies, chickens, geese, pigs, and goats! We’ll discover how to care for the land, the animals, and our planet, all while having fun. Expect hands-on crafts, educational materials, and a bounty of plants or potted treasures to take home. We also offer child-led sensory play to encourage curiosity and give little hands the chance to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace.
We believe financial barriers shouldn’t prevent families and students from accessing our programs. We encourage you to apply for Seeds of Success before enrolling and will send you a discount code if you are eligible.
Please review PLG AGREEMENTS & POLICIES before enrolling.

What to expect: We’ll begin each class under the shade of our hazelnut trees, giving kids a chance to settle in while caregivers connect. We’ll kick off with a song, story, and a quick check-in before embarking on the day’s adventure, which varies each week. All activities are child-led and hands-on, with plenty of opportunities to explore. We’ll wrap up back where we started, enjoying a snack and time for moms to share experiences and build community.
For comfort and mobility, consider bringing a baby carrier, as wagons and strollers may not work on all terrain. We walk at a toddler’s pace, with lots of stops to explore! Classes are held rain or shine. We have a spacious hoop house for shelter, but we’ll also venture out in the rain when the spirit moves us. Please come dressed for the elements—boots, hats, rain gear, and sunscreen are great depending on the season. Don’t forget a healthy snack for you and your little one to enjoy during our wind-down time.
Come enjoy meaningful moments, make new friends, and watch your child's love for nature blossom. We can't wait to grow with you!
*Who can participate: Children from birth to age 4 participate with up to two adult caregivers. We may be able to accommodate older siblings participating on a case by case basis. Please email us at info@parkerlearninggardens.org with more information about your needs. As this is a community-building class, we ask that the same two people attend each week. We have one Family Day a season; this is a day to invite other members of your family to explore the farm with us. Our participants represent diverse communities with a wide range of learning styles, cultural backgrounds, abilities, and interests. We are committed to providing accommodations to support you and your children in learning and having fun at our farm.
